Today one of my co-workers challenged me to a street race (or maybe parking lot race, not sure on that one) and I accepted. Now, before you grab your pitchforks and tell me how terrible I am and how I'm giving all gearheads a bad name you should know two things...

1. It's an old deserted non-residential road out by where I work

2. No speed limits will be broken.

You might be curious as to why no speed limits will be broken and I assure you it won't be from lack of trying. No speed limits will be broken because tomorrow, I'll be racing my own POS $100 Honda Aero 50

against my coworker's POS $40 Honda Express (not his but similar).

I like my chances :)

Did you bother to ask him if it has a kit on it? My old qt-50 (pretty much same frame as that express) had an 80cc kit which would make something that go stupidly fast. ....but I agree. there must be a video....don't forget your helmet.

They're both 50cc and ~4hp and the express is 20lbs lighter..
I think this might come down to gearing and rider body weight.

I always wear a helmet, the Aero has been my daily driver for the past month. I did not ask if he has a kit on it, but I'm pretty sure he did the same as me and picked up an old junker off craigslist then got it just barely running. Either way it should be fun.

But I have a CVT so I definitely have a huge advantage off the line, but top speeds should be similar.

Your smaller wheels will help with acceleration as well. but he has lower rolling resistance from the narrow tyres.
